The Pulley Rig

The pulley rig is useful when fishing over mixed ground conditions with loose rock and light weed. A hooked fish will lift the attached capsule off the seabed above the snags and will (like all DVice and DV8 capsules) plane along the surface. Fishing in heavy rock or kelp may; like all other anchoring options, cost you some lost tackle so we would not generally advise using your DVice or DV8 capsules in situations where you would expect to lose them.

When using longer snoods, you can coil up the slack and put it into the capsule alongside your bait. As long as this is practiced with care, presentation is perfect everytime. Depending on the bait (or the use of a plug) it is often possible to leave long snoods trailing.
