The Running Rig

The Running rig is very simple and very effective. It has been previously difficult to utilise this type of rig from the shore, as it does not easily allow the use of bait clips or impact sheild to enable better casting performance. The DV8 or DVice casting capsules allow you to secure the bait and snood length inside them; enabeling easy casting and presentation of this type of rig.

When using longer snoods, you can coil up the slack and put it into the capsule alongside your bait. As long as this is practiced with care, presentation is perfect everytime. Depending on the bait (or the use of a plug) it is often possible to leave long snoods trailing.
