The DV8 Casting capsule

Impact forces as the bait hits the water can be considerable and can damage delicate baits.

The DV8 capsule protects baits from these impact forces. The capsule also stops baits being shredded during the power cast.

A forceful flow of water is directed into the capsule. The forced ingress of water pushes the bait free from the capsule.

The capsule now descends to the seabed as normal, with a perfect bait in tow.

As the capsule is retrieved, the deflected flow of water helps to generate lift. This causes the capsule to plane to the surface after a short distance.
