How do I use it?

The DV8 Casting capsule is connected to your main fishing line, replacing your usual choice of sinker.
*Always use a shockleader.
Ensure your casting leader is 'at least' 10lb breaking strain per 1oz of casting weight. Example: 5oz equals 50lb Minimum. 60lb leader would be better.

Your hook link must be long enough to allow your hook to reach into the bottom of the capsule. 100 to 150mm of slack is recommended.
Large baits can be firmly pressed into the tube. Small baits may require the addition of some 'biodegradable' packing, such as seaweed, ground bait, bread etc, to help secure it in flight.

As the capsule descends through the water, the currents may influence it. Casting uptide of your mark will help counter any offset and drift.
The DV8 capsule has the inherent advantage of generating lift as it is retrieved at moderate speed. This helps to avoid 'some' of the unseen snags and debris on the seabed.
