WHITE RAGWORM Can be found in most areas of clean sand. Use a broad tined fork and dig in short rows until concentrations of worms are located. White ragworm are cannabalistic and must be kept separate from other worms. They can be kept easily for several weeks in trays of seawater in your bait fridge.

Multiple hook rigs such as the Bomber rig with fine wire hooks in sizes 4 to 1/0 are most suitable. Thread the first worm onto the shank of the hook but leave the tail dangling then head hook another two or three worms onto the hook bend. Leave the tails wriggling.
Often used by match anglers in the early 'scratching' season to catch flounders, rockling and other small species. White ragworm are also useful for tipping lugworm baits. A wriggling mouthful delivered intact to the seabed - irresistable!
